Picnic areas, miniature golf, a play area for the kids and a paddling pool right near a great town - and that's just for starters. There's also plenty of open grassland for outdoor games, and a quiet place in the shade is also never far.
Abingdon Meadows are right between Abingdon and Abingdon lock and weir, so whether you fancy combining your trip with a bit of shoppng or watching boats pass through the lock, it's only a short stroll away.
With the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside just beyond, Abingdon Meadows is also a good starting point for walks.
How to get there
There's a car park in Abbey Close, right by Abbey Meadows. If you prefer to park near the open grassland on the opposite side of the river, there's also a car park just past Abingdon Bridge.
