Buscot lock and weir are 1.85 km (1.15 mi) downstream from St John's Lock and 5.37 km (3.34 mi) upstream from Grafton Lock. They offer a pleasant lawn area from where you can watch the boats. There are no facilities at the lock itself, but only a short walk back in Buscot is the village tea room, which offers a range of refreshments.
Around the lock
There are a picnic table and bench at the lock.
Beyond the lock
Just before you get to the lock there’s a large grassy area suitable for picnics and outddor games such as Frisbee.
From the lock, you can also take the Thames Path towards Lechlade (2mi), or towards Radcot (4.5mi).
There’s free parking at the Buscot Weir Car Park, from where it is only a short walk to the lock and weir.
