Pangbourne Lock

Pangbourne Lock

Pangbourne, west of Reading is a picturesque town on the River Thames. Amongst other things, it is famous for having been home to Kenneth Grahame (The Wind in the Willows).

A historic toll bridge crosses the river between Pangourne and Whitchurch. There's a small car park close to the river and the wide river bank is good for walks and picnics.
